      GENERAL CONFERENCE SCOPE       

The iSTEAMS  Cross-Border Bespoke Conference 2020  is a multidisciplinary forum. iSTEAMS Partnering Institutions and organizations -  The  Society for Multidisciplinary & Advanced Research Techniques  (SMART) Africa, The International Centre for Information Technology & Development (ICITD) USA, the Department of  School of IT & Computing (SITC), American University of Nigeria, Yola, The Department of Management Information System,  University of Ghana, Legon and The Council for Scientific & Indusrial Research (CSIR), Accra, Ghana welcomes prospective participants, scholars, researchers, practitioners, students and multidisciplinary enthusiast to the 26th  iSTEAMS  Conference .

The resilience to host the 26th iSTEAMS Multidisciplinary Conference in an online platform, provides additional value addition that necessitates the diligent provision of scalable, flexible and seamless format for presentations and the adoption of technologies  to scale the COVID-19 pandemic in case Health Situations are yet to permit travels. While welcoming interested participant globally to enjoy free access to the conference events virtually, only registered participants will be allowed  to present papers and issued certificates of participation which will be mailed to them as soft copy. Hard copy proceedings for authors who submit papers (conditions apply) and certificates will be made available post-COVID-19 to qualifying participants.

 

Paper submissions will be accepted and opened till Sunday 8th November, 2020 to enable intending authors submit and participate in the event. We are aware that a lot of intending participants will need this latitude to reboot and re-energize to get their papers ready. The iSTEAMS  Conference traditionally seeks to facilitate research innovations, mentoring, discoveries, socioeconomic and human capital development through the clustering, dynamism and interaction of indigenous human and material resources both locally and internationally  with the attendant aim of addressing the myriads of solvable global challenges using multifaceted technology-based solutions. We will engage the instruments of our interactions,  presentations, advocacy and collaborations to nurture and promote innovations and knowledge discoveries. We welcome prospective participants to consider submitting research articles, position papers, reports, and all forms of articulations in all fields of human endeavours and explore the opportunities offered by the clustering of brilliant minds at the iSTEAMS conference to obtain valid inputs and will further fuel research agendas and innovations in our multifaceted world.  Graduate students are particularly welcomed to also explore the opportunities offered by the Graduate/Doctoral Consortium collocated with the iSTEAMS  Conference 2020 to expose their current and advanced research to a world class league of scholars that can assist them with refining and fine-tuning research directions and validate pragmatic research proposals. I believe your participation will add zest to what is potentially a great and highly impactful event.

  Important Information on  Travelling to Ghana                          

 

Should prevailing health situations allow for travel, Participants should ascertain prevailing health restrictions for COVID 19 and travel requirements for same on the West African Coast. Check exchange rate of the dollar to the Cedi HERE before departure from their countries of origin so as to be able to properly budget for travel, health, sundry and accommodation needs.

 

Visa(s) & Travel Information to Foreigners & ECOWAS Citizens 

​ECOWAS citizens includng Nigerians do not need visas to visit Ghana. The ECOWAS passport is all that is required. Road and other forms of transportation are available to travel from ECOWAS countries to Ghana.  Kindly check with the Ghanaian Embassy or Consulate in your country for visa requirements if you are travelling to Ghana from any country other than an ECOWAS Country. Citizens whose countries do not have a Ghanaian Embassy (such as Cameroon) can obtain Visas on Arrival. A list of Ghanaian Diplomatic Missions/Embasies/Consular can be found HERE. For additional information on applying for visas to Ghana visit the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration website www.mfa.gov.gh or contact your local Ghana High Commission. Kotoka International Airport, located in Accra, is Ghana’s premier international airport. Air connection to Accra is very easy and many hotels in Accra provide airport transfer service. Road connections are also available from a range of African Countries. Make travel plans ahead to ensure that you have the right information. Prospective participants can contact the organizers by e-mail for information and clarifications 

Brief on Lodging & Feeding     

​A variety of accomodation options are available for conference participants within the host city and environs. Our Conference partner hotels are the Yiri Lodge and the University of Ghana Guest House all situated within the University of Ghana Campus. Please note that Participants are solely responsible for their accommodation and travel expenses. Assistant for pre-arrival hotel bookings and travel can be accommodated by the conference organizing committee. Participants can also book online directly with hotels as soon as possible.   Participants should budget between $20 - $30 per day for additional meals apart from the lunch which will be served during the conference
