The 2019 iSTEAMS Cross Border Conference  is themed: Promoting Technology Transfer & Innovation   through Inter-tertiary Collaborations and   Intellectual Competition.  The Conference focus therefore is to utilize the dynamism of our colelctive synergy to explore issues bordering on innovation, human captal development and technology transfer. The Conference partnering Institutions and organizations - The International Centre for Information Technology & Development (ICITD) USA, The African Institute of Development Informatics & Policy and the Department of Operations & Management Information System - University of Ghana, Legon and

the Systems, Multidisciplinary & Advanced Research Techniques (SMART) welcomes all prospective participants to the International Science, Technology, Education, Arts, Management & the  Social  Sciences  (iSTEAMS)  Cross-Border  Conference  was held  between Wednesday 28th - 30th July, 2019 in Accra Ghana.  The iSTEAMS Cross Border Conference holding  in Ghana has come at a very opportune time in a dispensation where research and academic dynamics are becoming more collaborative, intertertiary and cross-border at increasing geometrical rates.  We welcome you to explore the opportunities offered by the clustering of brilliant minds on the University of Ghana, Accra, Campus and enjoy the serenity and ambiance of the great nation, Ghana.  Akwaaba

A FLAT RATE OF  N45,000/USD 150 -  This registration rate is exclusively for  FULL TIME POSTGRADUATE STUDENT'S ONLY.  Lecturers and other working class individuals on graduate studies will not be considered for this rate  (Valid ID Card will be required )

Brief on Lodging & Feeding 

A variety of accomodation options are available for conference participants within the host city and environs. Our Conference partner hotels are the Yiri Lodge and the University of Ghana Guest House all situated within the University of Ghana Campus. Please note that Participants are solely responsible for their accommodation and travel expenses. Assistant for pre-arrival hotel bookings and travel can be accommodated by the conference organizing committee. Participants can also book online directly with hotels as soon as possible.   Participants should budget between $20 - $30 per day for additional meals apart from the lunch which will be served during the conference


Exchange Rates

Participants should ascertain prevailing exchange rate of the dollar to the Cedi HERE before departure from their countries of origin so as to be able to properly budget for travel, health, sundry and accommodation needs.


Visa(s) & Travel Information to Foreigners & ECOWAS Citizens 


ECOWAS citizens includng Nigerians do not need visas to visit Ghana. The ECOWAS passport is all that is required. Road and other forms of transportation are available to travel from ECOWAS countries to Ghana.  Kindly check with the Ghanaian Embassy or Consulate in your country for visa requirements if you are travelling to Ghana from any country other than an ECOWAS Country. Citizens whose countries do not have a Ghanaian Embassy (such as Cameroun) can obtain Visas on Arrival. A list of Ghanaian Diplomatic Missions/Embasies/Consular can be found HERE. For additional information on applying for visas to Ghana visit the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration website or contact your local Ghana High Commission. Kotoka International Airport, located in Accra, is Ghana’s premier international airport. Air connection to Accra is very easy and many hotels in Accra provide airport transfer service. Road connections are also available from a range of African Countries.
